Announcement by ambassador Carl Mpangazitha Niehauis, Chair of the Working Board of ARETA: In defence of the people’s rights! The establishments of new Legal Defence and Prosecutions Unit of the African Economic Transformation Alliance (ARETA)

Thank you to all who joined my In My Crosshairs Twitter Space last night.
Last night, on Wednesday the 8th of March 2023, it was my privilege to announce in my capacity as Chair of the Working Board of ARETA, on the In My Crosshairs Twitter Space, a very important, and exciting, new development! The establishment of the dedicated Legal Defence and Prosecutions Unit of ARETA (hereafter referred to as the ARETA Legal Unit).
The African Radical Economic Transformation Alliance (ARETA) is now full steam in the process of establishing this dedicated Legal Division/Unit in defence, and protection, of the legal rights of all South Africans.
This ARETA Legal Unit is long in the making, and it’s formation is a very important milestone for ARETA. It will change the balance of forces for justice, and the overall legal landscape, fundamentally in favour of black, and specifically African, poor and oppressed South Africans.
The ARETA Legal Unit will not hesitate through private prosecutions, and whatever means necessary and available, to fight legal bias and capture, and prosecute the enemies of the people, and those who think that they are above the law.
For far too long the legal rights of the poor have now been trampled on, land claims are disregarded, GBV is rife, SA is the rape and murder capital of the world. There is hardly any hope of justice for the victims. Justice is increasingly only available and affordable for a rich elite. Ramaphosa and his acolytes flaunt the law with impunity. Enough is enough!
The Working Board of ARETA has appointed the well known and highly qualified legal scholar, Dr. Paul Ngobeni, as the Head of the ARETA Legal Unit, and last night on the In My Crosshairs Twitter Space Dr. Ngobeni made an outstanding presentation about the thinking behind the Unit, and the work that it will do. This work will include private prosecutions, but will also among other critical priorities address issues such as land claims, fundamental radical changes to the Constitution, and the Africanization of the law and legal order in SA.
