DA position on Land Restitution Bill to be finalised this week

The DA notes media reports today regarding the position to be taken on the Restitution of Land Rights Amendment Bill and certain provisions contained therein.

The DA has not yet taken a position on the Bill which must still to be considered by the parliamentary caucus on Thursday, 20 February 2014.

The Parliamentary caucus will take a position in caucus, guided by our policy on land reform, as approved by Federal Council.

Once this position is taken we will communicate it to the media in due course.
