Dali Mpofu can't be trusted with the revolution - ANCYL

League says the EFF politician's decision to be Gareth Cliff's lawyer is revealing of his true position

Dali Mpofu walks left and talk right and suffers from economic fetishism

As the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL), we have maintained that Dali Mpofu, cannot be trusted with the revolution as he prey on anything that bring him money. He thrives on port politics.  He claims to be the National Chairperson of his organisation, we thought that he is encouraged and motivated by the policies and objectives of his organisation. Today he defends sympathisers of racists.

He remains nothing less of a hypocrite, he puts on a false appearance as a leader of the people and a representative of the powerless and downtrodden. His actions to represent Mr Gareth Cliff confirms to us that even his involvement in Marikana Commission was never about his conscience or what he stands for as a man but this was more about his pocket. He got an opportunity to milk the state camouflaging as a representative of the Marikana families.

We will not tolerate hypocrites, who preach gospel during the day, but commit crime and kill people at night.  Mr Cliff agrees with the words of Ms Sparrow and believes that it was freedom of speech. Does this mean Mr Mpofu who defends Mr Cliff equally agrees with Ms Sparrow that he is a Monkey whilst all of us are humans ? Any person who supports and sympathises with views and agendas of racists is an enemy of the revolution.  We are in a project of building a non-racial South Africa.

It is interesting that a national office bearer of a party that claims to be a leftist movement, represents someone of Mr Cliff's Character, it confirms our assertion that, they talk left and walk right, indeed their is money through the people not the liberating through their organization.

This democracy was won through blood and sweat, our course is and will always be to build a, Non[e]- Racial, None-Sexiest and a Democratic South Africa where all people live in harmony. This is why as the ANCYL we condemn all form of racism, including economic racism.

Surely we expected too much from Mr Mpofu, but we know what he and his friends did with the assets of the ANCYL Lembede Holdings.

The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) commends the strong action that has been taken against the racists and their sympathisers. The ANCYL commends none renewal of South African Idols judge Gareth Cliff's contract by MNET. This can be attributed to MNET’s commitment in fighting racism and racists like Penny Sparrow, and her supporters and sympathisers like Mr Cliff.

The calling of non-white races with derogatory terms and racial slur is abuse; it is not an advancement of the freedom of speech. It constitutes a racial incitement that  dampens cracks on our ongoing social cohesion project and nation building efforts; it threatens our stability and national security. MNET should not be shaken in their resolve to stand against any form of racism, we say #CLIFFMUSTFALL and #MNETMUSTRISE

As the ANCYL we will never agree with any racist remarks and conduct. Racism violates human rights in which our fore bearers struggled hard to achieve. Racism violates the founding principles and values of our democracy and the spirit of the Freedom Charter; that South Africa belongs to all who live in it. The ANCYL awaits the final decision on  Chris Hart, Penny Sparrow and Velaphi Khumalo. Mr Cliff should follow Nicole de Klerk.
