Mdluli: This is not the end
Today the Boksburg Magistrates Court ruled that there was no evidence implicating suspended Crime Intelligence boss Richard Mdluli in the murder of his former love rival Oupa Ramogibe (see report).
Although Richard Mdluli will no longer face charges of murder, this was by no means the only matter on his long list of alleged misdemeanours.
Before he starts entertaining any notions of returning to his erstwhile position, Mr Mdluli would do well to recall that he is still under investigation by the Inspector General of Intelligence for his connection to the misuse of the crime intelligence ‘slush fund' as well as for employing numerous family members as secret agents.
The DA trusts that this investigation will be completed timeously and, if he is indeed found guilty of fraud and corruption, that justice is seen to be served and that this ridiculously long suspension results in dismissal.
