SACP STATEMENT ON LATEST CHANGES TO THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE
The SACP welcomes the latest changes announced by the President to the National Executive sought to strengthen the work of Cabinet. We wish the newly appointed members all the best in the implementation of the 2009 election manifesto commitments. The SACP takes this moment to thank the cadres that have served diligently in Cabinet.
The SACP particularly congratulates its CC members, who in their own right as ANC members, have been entrusted with responsibility by the President. Cde Yunus Carrim, a long service CC and Politburo member has been appointed Minister of Communications whilst Cde Lechesa Tsenoli, a former President of SANCO and current Central Committee member of the SACP has been appointed Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
Now that we entering the final leg of the fourth ANC led administration, focus must remain on consolidating the effectiveness of governance and meeting the needs of our people, majority of whom are working class and poor. This remains the single most important revolutionary task of the deployed cadres in the state.
