5 451 new Covid cases in SA – Zweli Mkhize

A further 97 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, 41 in Gauteng

Today the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 691 491.

The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 11 840 773 with 40 460 new tests recorded since the last report.

Deaths and Recoveries
Today, 97 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 0, Free State 21, Gauteng 41, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 3, North West 0, Northern Cape 15 and Western Cape 12 which brings the total to 56 929 deaths.

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.

Our recoveries now stand at 1 574 223, representing a recovery rate of 93,2%

The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 11 800 313 with 43 137 new tests recorded since the last report.

Today, 67 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 4, Free State 23, Gauteng 24, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 0, Northern Cape 3 and Western Cape 8 which brings the total to 56 832 deaths.

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.

Our recoveries now stand at 1 570 975, representing a recovery rate of 93,2%
