A Machiavellian plot by the ANC – COPE

The breakaway slams the alleged decision by NPA to drop charges against Zuma

COPE CONDEMNS POSSIBLE PLANS BY NPA TO DROP CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST JACOB ZUMA

Media reports about possible plans by the NPA to drop criminal charges against ANC President Jacob Zuma, represent a clear case of political influence in the judicial process. It is clear interference by the ANC in the judiciary.

The Congress of the People wishes to place on record that while only unnamed sources are quoted in the reports, it appears that plans are afoot to once again compromise the rule of law in the country by ensuring a safe passage for Jacob Zuma to occupy the Union Buildings.

We believe that the former NDPP, Vusi Pikoli was fired to ensure that this Machiavellian plot is effected by the ANC.

Where is the independence of the judiciary when such politically motivated decisions are taken?

It was no accident last week that Correctional Services Minister, Ngconde Balfour bought his was back on to the ANC election list by releasing Shaik. COPE regards this as the continuing and deepening of the rot in our body politic and a ever faster slide  in to the abyss. This is the Zanufication of our country.
