ANC Limpopo PEC to nominate Motlanthe for ANC presidency

Province says it wants Tokyo Sexwale as deputy president, Fikile Mbalula as Secretary General

ANC LIMPOPO PEC LEADERSHIP PROPOSAL

The Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of the ANC in Limpopo concluded its standing meeting on Monday, 17 September with a list of proposed names to be incorporated into the official ANC leadership nominations process due to kick in on 01 October 2012.

A unanimous agreement on suggested cadres to lead the National Executive Committee (NEC) structure were topped by Comrades:

President: Kgalema Motlanthe,

Deputy President: Tokyo Sexwale,

Secretary General: Fikile Mbalula,

Deputy Secretary General: Thandi Modise,

Treasurer General: Mathews Phosa,

Chairperson: Thenjiwe Mtistwo

A total of 59 leadership names were raised during the meeting to include the additional members of the ANC's national leadership names.

Qualifying ANC branches that have been successfully vetted through the nationwide audit process will commence branch general meetings wherein members will pronounce on their preferred leadership nominations in preparation for the 53rd national elective conference of the ANC taking place in December 2012.
