ANC on a verge of destabilising KZN - DA KZN

DA says ruling party spends too much time fighting instead of focusing on needs of the people of the province

ANC on a verge of destabilising KZN

12 April 2016

The Democratic Alliance in KZN is deeply concerned by the alleged plans by the ANC chairperson Sihle Zikalala, to reshuffle the KZN cabinet

It is alleged that Mike Mabuyakhulu, the Economic Development MEC , Health MEC Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation MEC Ntombikayise Sibhidla-Saphetha, Agriculture MEC Cyril Xaba, Education MEC Nelisiwe Peggy Nkonyeni are all facing the chop.

These rumoured allegations confirm the infightings within the ANC.  We will not allow the province to be destabilised because of political wars within the governing party. The ANC spends too much time fighting instead of focusing on the needs of the people of this province.

It is rather disturbing that in the midst of a financial crisis, the governing party is planning to remove the majority members of the cabinet. We believe this will leave the province destabilised. The province should be creating an environment that is inviting to investors instead of chasing them.

During the registration weekend, we saw for ourselves how the instability in the ANC is affecting service delivery, affecting people, around the country.

It is time for people to punish the governing party in the province under Sihle Zikalala. It is time people say no to being treated as an afterthought, second class and non-priority. They must punish the ANC at the Local Government Elections on the 3rd of August 2016.

The DA is ready and willing to offer clean and good governance. This is proven where we govern. KZN people deserve to be treated with Fairness, to enjoy the Freedom that was fought so hard for and be given equal Opportunities.
