Another by-election victory for the DA in Ekurhuleni

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng congratulates the newly elected Cllr Marinda Beukes on her victory in the Ekurhuleni Ward 25 by-election. Beukes has won the by-election with 87.15% of the vote.

It is clear that residents in Ward 25 have faith in both the DA, and their new councillor.

While Ekurhuleni grapples with the impact of a deeply problematic and ineffective executive, residents in Ward 25 have given a resounding “No” to the ANC and the EFF.

Compared to previous years, the DA’s vote in Ward 25 grew as follows:
– From 66.12% to 87.15%

We are certain that Marinda will make an excellent addition to the DA Ekurhuleni Caucus, while serving the people of Ward 25 with the same vigour and enthusiasm that has brought her this far.

We thank every voter who has shown their support and practiced their democratic right to ensure we rescue Ekurhuleni.
