Bantu Holomisa's allegations of us funnelling money to ANC not true - PIC

Corporation says it is considering several options to counter the intentional damage to its reputation

PIC denies allegations of making payments to the African National Congress (ANC)

20 January 2016 PRETORIA- Allegations that have been made by the leader of the United Democratic Movement, General Bantu Holomisa that the Public Investment Corporation paid R40 million to the African National Congress (ANC) are not true. Media reports that the PIC also deposited R2 million for the benefit of the ANC into Harith General Partners (a company in which the PIC is a shareholder) are also false.

The PIC views these allegations as a deliberate intention to cast aspersions on its integrity. The PIC has not been approached by the Public Protector regarding these allegations. However, we will cooperate with any investigations should we be approached by the Public Protector. The PIC is considering several options to counter the intentional damage to its reputation.
