Cape Town comes out tops again as best travel destination
Cape Town has been named the world's top travel destination in the TripAdvisor 2011 Travellers' Choice Destination Awards. The city beat international competitors such as London and New York (see here).
TripAdvisor is the world's largest travel site and the awards are based on millions of unbiased opinions posted by TripAdvisor travellers.
"I am thrilled that our city has once again been honoured as the best destination in the world. The exquisite natural attractions and well-maintained urban environment make Cape Town second to none. We are committed to maintaining this status and working to make Cape Town even better for both local and international travellers," said City of Cape Town Executive Mayor, Alderman Dan Plato.
