COSATU North West pleased at outcome of Moss Phakoe murder case
The Congress of South African Trade Unions in the North West has learned with joy that the accused in the Moss Phakoe murder case have been both found guilty of murder (see report).
COSATU is pleased that the case is now reaching finality and the family of Moss will now find closure on who has killed their father
COSATU want to congratulate the investigating team, the prosecution and the judge for the good work done so far but we believe it is not over and COSATU calls on them to now start investigating the corruption which we believe caused the death of Moss Phakoe.
COSATU believes that the corruption should be investigated so that this case can be used to set an example to all those who are corrupt the crime does not pay
COSATU calls on the judge to put the harshest sanction on both of them as they have not shown any remorse and were able to hide from the authorities for two years and even after been caught they continued to mislead the public and pretend as if they do not know anything.
