DA believes our people are sub-human - ANCYL

League says Makhaza judgment is proof party treats black people like animals

ANC YOUTH LEAGUE WELCOMES AND CELEBRATES THE CAPE HIGH COURT JUDGMENT
ON DA GOVERNMENT BUILT OPEN TOILETS.

29 APRIL 2011

Today, the 29th of April 2011, the Cape High Court dismissed with costs, the DA government's counter application to have open toilets in Makhaza, under the DA led City of Cape Town. The judgment delivered by Judge Erasmus indicated that building of open toilets by the DA government violates many clause of South Africa's Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Reading the judgment, it is very clear that the DA government has no respect for Human Rights and the Constitution of South Africa. The DA treats our people with disdain and believe that they are sub-humans, who should be treated like animals. The DA government is only obsessed with responding to the luxuries of rich people, like bicycle lanes in oppulent suburbs, whilst our people are subjected to inhuman, unConstitutional open toilets.

The ANC Youth League is proud that the DA government is now exposed by our Courts of Law because of the struggles that were started by our members and structures in the Western Cape. The ANC Youth League is now more inspired to fight harder against the DA until the ANC reclaims the City of Cape Town. The ANC led City of Cape Town, which will take office after the 18th of May 2011, should prioritise Construction and intallation of decent and human Toilets and Sanitation to all the people of Cape Town.
