DA elects new leadership in KwaZulu-Natal

28 March 2021

The Democratic Alliance in KwaZulu-Natal held a successful elective congress that elected leadership who will lead the party during the local government elections and beyond. We are proud to have successfully hosted the congress under strict lockdown regulations using a combination of online and in person congress options.

The election of candidates was free and fair, displaying true democracy at work. We are pleased with the good-spirited contestation, demonstrating a firm and sincere commitment to democratic principles within the DA in KZN.

We are pleased to announce the elected leadership:

KZN Leader: Francois Rodgers MPL

KZN Deputy Leader: Chris Pappas MPL

KZN Chairperson: Dean Macpherson MP

KZN  Deputy Chairpersons: Cllr. Sithembiso Ngema, Shehana Kajee and Elma Rabe MPL.

The DA wishes the new leadership all the best as we head to the local government elections.

Issued by Francois Rodgers, DA KZN Leader, 28 March 2021
