DA trying to divert attention from its sex pest MP - Stone Sizani

ANC says it’s ridiculous to question a staff appointment after 21 years of service

DA ALLEGATIONS AGAINST PARLIAMENT STAFF ATTEMPT TO DIVERT ATTENTION FROM ITS SEX PEST MP

DA chief whip John Steenbuisen’s allegations in the weekend paper that parliament’s registrar of members’ interest, Ms. Fazela Mahomed, leaked confidential information to the ANC regarding complaints lodged with her office are wholly unwarranted, downright defamatory and malicious. Ms. Mahomed’s impeccable work ethic, rock-solid integrity and impeccable professionalism during the 21 uninterrupted years that she has held this position has never been questioned.

It takes extreme desperation and ignorance for an opposition party leader to question the appointment of a parliamentary staff member, 21 years after the appointment, just to attempt to tarnish her good name, her integrity and impartiality for mere narrow politicking.

The DA’s ludicrous claims surface after the ANC chief whip’s complaint to the parliamentary ethics committee asking it to probe DA sex predator MP, Archibald Figlan, for sexual misconduct.

Steenhuisen's extraordinary attack against Ms Mahomed is a shameless demonstration of how low the DA would stoop just to protect Figlan, who proudly continues to serve in the National Assembly even after he was found guilty of sexual harassment.

It's an attempt to justify or divert attention from the embarrassment of having given a sex pest a mere slap on the wrist for sexually abusing a woman staff member of the DA.
