DA's lack of historical understanding horrific - ANCYL

League says opposition has misrepresented Ronald Lamola's "forceful as war" remarks

ANCYL DISMISSES ALLEGATIONS BY THE DA AGAINST THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT OF THE ANCYL

The ANCYL is horrified by the lack of historical understanding of the DA in light of the alleged case opened by the DA against the Deputy President of the ANCYL.

The ANCYL dismisses the allegations of incitement and clarifies that there has been a consistent assertion made calling on those who own majority of the land in South Africa to act in a responsible manner and volunteer the land to the indigenous people of South Africa.

It must be reaffirmed that there has been a gross misrepresentation by the DA on the address made by the Deputy President. The ANCYL has always been calling for a legislation or act that will be as forceful as a war. Such reflections have been made in Moses Mashamaite's biography of Pixley Isa Ka Seme and hence the ANCYL qualifies the call for the amendment of Section 25 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.

The ANCYL will never retreat from it's position for expropriation of land without compensation. The position of the ANCYL communicated by the Deputy President has been the posture of the ANCYL since it's formation and prior.

Responsible citizens in South Africa will appreciate that the economic inequalities facing our people stem from the past and respond in the interests of the people and not themselves. The ANCYL has always defended the interests of the masses of the most vulnerable and this will never change.
