Statement on the Court Order Relating to Workforce Group Company

The Economic Freedom Fighters distances itself organizationally from the actions of some of its members in relation to the class action at the Workforce Group (see Sunday Independent report). The Central Command Team has asked commissar Sam Shabalala to submit a report as to his utterances and action on the said day and event since there had not been any organizational mandate to his involvement.

We will also be convening a meeting with the company to reach an understanding on the resultant despite. The EFF supports and will always stand with workers, particularly against abusive companies. However, this will always be done with the workers in the front. This distancing of ourselves organizationally is no statement of deserting workers' struggles. It is simply asserting that EFF will at all times work within the revolutionary practice of organizational disciple.
