EFF STATEMENT ON THE RACIST INCIDENT THAT TOOK PLACE AT MASSELSPORT RESORT AND CONFERENCE CENTRE

The Economic Freedom Fighters in the Free State today responded to the racism incident that occurred at Masselsport Resort and Conference Centre where two young boys enjoying their festivities were harassed by white men with absolutely no genuine basis.

The EFF condemns in the strongest terms the despicable racist act and the leadership immediately attended to it and called the police who laid charges. The leadership further visited the resort today to meet with its management and face the white men.

We blame Masselsport management for enabling such actions by having a whites only pool that made those white racists think that's the space for white people only. We are further disappointed in the failure of the Management of Masselsport to correctly deal with this act of racism on their facilities. White people need to unlearn the logic that they deserve their own space, this is the highest form of nonsense that have been tolerated for the longest of times.

We believe these actions of racism are being perpetuated by the ANC due to their lack of decisive action as well as a rubber glove approach to racist conducts in the province and it comes as no surprise that days after the ANC conference that re-elected Cyril Ramaphosa as President of South Africa white people feel this bold and entitled.

South Africa remains a country that is reconciled by theory while the material and practical conditions of the everyday life of a black person continues to be under daily subjection to racists acts without question. The white Afrikaner more specifically in Free State which was the heart and center of the Apartheid South Africa has never reconciled with the proletariat black masses of our people.

The EFF will not allow any form of racism or suppression in this young democracy, be it in our resorts, schools, public spaces or anywhere else. No amount of racial segregation shall be tolerated in our democracy, we shall cut the throat of white privilege wherever it rears its ugly head.

We will continue to act on the matters with no fear of contradiction and continue to struggle for the realization of true emancipation of the Black South African rather than this façade, pseudo-emancipation that we live in with the ANC.
