Commissar Tambo has previously served as the Provincial Chairperson of the EFF Student's Command and as a Secretary-General of the Student's Representative Council at the University of Cape Town, Commissar Madokwe has previously served as the Secretary-General of the EFF Student's Command and as a member of the Provincial Command Team in the Westem Cape.

Commissar Madokwe and Commissar Tambo are products of the Student Movement of the EFF and the #FeesMustFall generation. Their deployment is yet another firm affirmation of the faith the EFF has in the youth as the custodians of the future and our struggle for economic emancipation.
