Fighters have more than 500 000 volunteers to lead election battle – EFF

Calls on all ground forces and elections structures to intensify the campaign towards decisive victory

EFF statement following the 6th Central Elections Task Force meeting

29 February 2024

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) held its 6th Central Elections Task Force (CETF) meeting today, on the 29th of February 2024, at the Capital Hotel in Johannesburg Gauteng.

The CETF is the central organ of the EFF for elections purposes, which sits to appraise itself on the work of the organisation across the length and breadth of South Africa ahead of the decisive victory on the 29th of May 2024. As an organisation, we are pleased to announce that we have established elections structures in every single Voting District of South Africa.

The EFF today, has more than 500 000 thousand elections volunteers, who will lead the elections battle armed with the EFF Elections Manifesto and the rallying cry of Land And Jobs Now! Stop Loadshedding!

The CETF further reflected on the successful Manifesto Launch of the EFF, which was held at Moses Mabhida Stadium on the 10th of February 2024.

The success of the rally was emphasised by the collective leadership of the CETF, with an appreciation that the EFF filled Moses Mabhida with the people of KwaZuIu-Natal alone, proving that the EFF has a national footprint that will never be undermined by state-sponsored tribalism.

Following the major success of the Manifesto Launch, and as part of the appreciation that KwaZulu-NataI boasts the second largest voter base in South Africa, which sits at 5 723 821, the EFF has resolved to bolster its deployment compliment in Kwazulu-Natal. This deployment comes to supplement the Deputy President Floyd Shivambu's work in the province, which has been characterised by solid organisational building and establishment of elections structures. The following Commissars are deployed to KwaZuIu-NataI for elections purposes;

a) The Secretary General, Marshall Dlamini
b) Commissar Fana Mokoena
c) Commissar Reneiloe Mashabela
d) Commissar Hlengiwe Mkhaliphi
Further to this, as the Secretary General is now deployed in KwaZuIu-NataI, the National Chairperson, Commissar Veronica Mente will now convene the province of the Western Cape.

The EFF has complete faith that this collective led by the Deputy President will once more capture the minds and hearts of the people of KwaZuIu-NataI and remove the incompetent ANC government that has brought misery to the lives of our people in that province.

The CETF reflected on the voter registration weekend which was held on the 3rd and 4th of February 2024, and once again wishes to thank our people, the youth in particular for going out and registering to vote. The youth of South Africa has disproved the myth that they are not interested in politics, and we call on the youth to once again prove the naysayers wrong by coming out to vote in their numbers on the 29th of May 2024.

The EFF will over the month of March 2024, host Provincial Manifesto Rallies in the provinces of Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West, Free State, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and Western Cape, and call on the people of South Africa to listen the localised message of hope that will deal with the challenges confronting our people in their municipalities and communities.

We call on all ground forces and elections structures of the EFF to intensify the campaign towards decisive victory, and this victory will only be achieved through a door-to-door campaign, characterised by the spirit of Umntu Emntwini/Motho Mothong.

The only way to secure the liberation of our people and deliver Economic Freedom In Our Lifetime, is by a one on one interaction with our people.

Let us March forward towards victory, It's Land And Jobs Now! Stop Loadshedding!
