Jack Bloom refers GEDA spokesperson to PSC

DA leader in Gauteng legislature says Gaoganediwe's attack contravenes public servant's code of conduct

Geda spokesperson doesn't geddit

Barba Gaoganediwe, spokesperson for the Gauteng Economic Development Association (GEDA), just doesn't get it in his vituperative attack on me (see here) for revealing that Carl Niehaus received a lavish farewell lunch when he left GEDA, despite his self-confessed fraudulent activity.

His statement is so way over the top that it reveals that they are running scared over this issue and worried about what else might be revealed.

I have written to Gauteng Finance MEC Mandla Nkomfe and also referred Mr Gaoganediwe to the Public Service Commission for contravening the Code of Conduct for Public Servants.

He has contravened at least two requirements:

  • To execute his duties in a professional and competent manner;
  • To not abuse his position in the Public Service to promote or prejudice the interest of any political party or interest group;

Like Carl Niehaus and former GEDA CEO Keith Khoza, Mr Gaoganediwe is a political appointment who cannot do his job properly and puts his political loyalties above service to the public.

His statement has hilarious errors like "modus of operandi", "disregard of basic journalistic tenant" and "the irritic Mr Bloom".

His statement is seriously defamatory and intended to shut me up, but I will continue to do my duty in uncovering all the rot at GEDA.
