FF Plus elects leader in Gauteng

Mr. Jaco Mulder, FF Plus MPL for Gauteng, was elected with an absolute majority as the provincial leader of the party in Gauteng.

Mulder, who has been a member of the Gauteng Legislature since 2004, achieved the victory against Dr. Dan Roodt who had also made himself available for this position.

"The FF Plus is at present the fourth largest party in Gauteng and is the only party fighting for the rights of Afrikaners and other minorities in the province," Mulder says. Approximately half of all Afrikaners in South Africa live in Gauteng and is the core of the target market of the FF Plus in the province.

"The FF Plus is the last bastion of Western Christian values in the South African party political system," Mulder said.

Mulder furthermore described the members who had been elected as the party's executive committee in Gauteng as a balanced and formidable team and said that this team would make a huge contribution to the future of the party and its support base in this province.

Adv. Anton Alberts, MP and Mr. Phillip van Staden, regional leader in Pretoria were elected as deputy leaders and Ms. Amanda de Lange, Qume Erasmus, Messrs. Franco de Lange, Piet Uys, Christo Smith, Ben Erasmus, Wiebe Schultz, Johan van Drimmelen, Jacques Blake and Sakkie du Plooy were elected as members of the executive committee.

The youth delegation to the executive committee consists of Jean Kriek, Awie Erasmus and Johan Breet.
