Leave to appeal granted in councillor expulsion case - Oudtshoorn

Acting mayor Vlancio Donson says DA leadership is expected to be comprehensively exposed in the continuing litigation

Granting of leave to appeal on judgment of removal of 11 councillors welcome

Oudtshoorn, October 09, 2014 - I welcome the ruling this morning of Mr Justice Owen Rogers in granting me leave to appeal his August judgment in the matters of the removal of 10 DA Councillors and a Cope Councillor by operation of law.

The ruling also justifies DA Councillor Peter Roberts. While disciplined by the DA, and eventually terminated as a DA member, for objecting the fraudulent Nel Settlement, Roberts attended council meetings while the DA Western Cape Provincial Secretary, also the MEC for local government, instructed the DA councillors to boycott the meetings leading to the removal by operation of law.

The Nel Settlement perpetrators - DA Councillor Ben van Wyk; DA Councillor Chris MacPherson; and DA Councillor Pierre Nel, were found guilty by a protracted, turbid internal DA disciplinary process and forcefully struck by the fedex with an overcooked asparagus.

The DA Leadership is expected to be comprehensively exposed in the continuing litigation.
