Magwaza-Msibi sells out to the ANC - Sizwe Mchunu

DA KZN leader says after today a vote for the NFP is a vote for the ANC

Magwaza-Msibi sells out to the ANC

5 June 2014

The DA has learnt with great dissapointment that the leader of the NFP, Zanele Magwaza-Msibi, has accepted an offer to join President Jacob Zuma's cabinet as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

She is yet another opposition leader that has been co-opted by the ANC with an offer of a high-paying government position. Ms Magwazi-Msibi has effectively sold out her supporters.

People voted for her party because they want an alternative to the ANC. If people wanted to support the ANC, they could just have voted for the ANC.

The NFP clearly is more interested in securing positions for its leaders in national government than in providing better governance.

Voters who want an alternative that is able to stop corruption, create more jobs and improve service delivery should vote for the only party that has a track record in achieving those things - they should vote for the DA.

After today, a vote for the NFP has become a vote for the ANC.
