National Police Commissioner must resign – EFF

Fighters say damning revelations of his involvement in Phala-Phala farm cover up cannot be ignored

EFF calls on National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola to resign for his involvement in the abuse of state resources and the Phala-Phala farm cover up

17 July 2022

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) demands the immediate resignation of National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola, following the damning revelations which expose how Masemola used state resources, to recover the illicit money which was stolen on Phala Phala Farm.

In a criminal and rogue misuse of the resources of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Masemola, during his tenure as the Deputy Commissioner of Police sanctioned the use of a police helicopter and a communication interception device, to track those who stole the millions of undeclared US Dollars on Cyril Ramaphosa's farm.

This grave abuse of power, was done without the knowledge of the National Police Commissioner Khehla Sitole, and without any police case being opened to warrant the use of police resources. It was an undeniable act of manipulating critical resources in the service of a money laundering President.

The startling report exposes the abuse of the resources of the crime intelligence unit, and further reveals what the EFF has long suspected, that those involved in stealing Ramaphosa's illegal money, were severely tortured. This is all confirmation that as early as the year 2020, Ramaphosa had begun criminalising the state and integrating it into servicing his gangster-machinery.

It is confirmation that taxpayers money, and resources that ought to secure the safety of South Africans, were illegally used to track, abduct and torture civilians who were suspected of stealing Ramaphosa's laundered money.

The South African state, through Ramaphosa and Masemola, is complicit in breaking domestic and international laws, with the violation of human rights and the concealment of a crime.

The General is hardly ever in office but flying up and down with the Minister into crime scenes crying crocodile tears instead of planning and executing an anti-crime strategy The EFF calls for the immediate resignation and arrest of Fannie Masemola, as he has no moral integrity to remain as a Commissioner of Police. Masemola is preoccupied with servicing the tender interests of the ruling party as well as using state resources to aid the criminal activity of politicians.

He must divulge the names of all the politicians and Ministers he conspired with, under the instruction of Ramaphosa, to make SAPS a weapon for a money laundering mafia network.

The EFF will not tire in calling for accountability for the crimes Ramaphosa has committed, and warns South Africans that worse is yet to come. All law-abiding South Africans must unite behind the call for Ramaphosa to step down.

He has not only shamed the nation, but turned South Africa into a conduit for the activities of a dark underworld. As a matter of urgency, Ramaphosa Must Go!
