Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) registration with the IEC is on course.

Ever since Economic Freedom Fighters have lodged an application for registration as a political party with the Independent Electoral Commission(IEC), there has been various social media misinformation campaigns. We hereby wish to officially indicate that the registration process is on course and there is no reason for concern.

The IEC has kept EFF informed about developments and has now asked EFF to respond to the objections it has received. Our movement is in process to comply with this request.

The reports on social media that the IEC has dismissed EFF application are false and designed to confuse and demoralise our members and society at large. The IEC has confirmed that the registration process in on course . The IEC, has also assured the EFF that it will formally communicate its decision with our movement prior to any media announcements.

EFF will be on the ballot paper on in 2014. We urge our members to continue with mobilising and organising. Nothing will stop an idea whose time has come.
