Parliament to consider Ethics Committee report on Pule - Stone Sizani

ANC Chief Whip commends committee for work, and minister for presenting her side of the story

ETHICS COMMITTEE REPORT ON DINA PULE

8 August 2013

The Office of the ANC Chief Whip notes the report of parliament's ethics committee on the allegations relating to the former minister of communications, Dina Pule. The report, which contains the committee's findings and recommendations, would be considered by Parliament for a decision.

We commend the committee for extensively probing the allegations faced by the former minister and reporting comprehensively to Parliament. We also commend the former minister for subjecting herself to the authority of the committee and using the opportunity to present her side of the story.

We will await the decision of Parliament on the report and its recommendations. The ANC will never condone any act of ill-discipline, misconduct and impropriety.

Statement issued by Stone Sizani, Chief Whip of the ANC in Parliament, August 8 2013
