People can demonstrate but occupying Luthuli House is a No No

The ANC Youth League notes the call and mobilization by some citizens and non South Africans who are purporting to be members of the ANCYL and the ANC. These overzealous fellows are mobilizing people with the sole intention of causing disunity in the organization. The ANC is an organization of 104 years with a lucid culture and tradition on how it conducts its business. We can never allow a situation where our organization is left leaderless because of some people who purport to be concerned members.

The ANC subsequent to the calls made by the Youth League has mapped out a clear plan to unify the organization and bring about its re-generation. The approach they seeked by these lose canons goes against traditions of the movement. The current NEC must convene the next conference and account to the membership. We are particularly disappointed at the level of desperation of these stooges that have been sent to cause disorder in the organization. They have gone to the extent of mobilizing non South Africans to fraudulently join the organization in order to fern disorder and chaos.

The ANCYL would like to unmask lies that are being spread. We can confirm that the Constitution of the ANCYL and the ANC only allows membership for South Africans. Those who are not South Africans must know that the forms they downloaded from the internet and filled them does not make them members. We caution all our members not to be misled by agent provocateurs who have been paid to destabilize the organization.

Inline with the need for an organisational reflection, we have been the first to call for an early conference, which is currently part of the internal discussions in the organization as the ANC NEC engages structures. True members of the ANC will know that they should attend the Mass Meetings being called through out the country to air their views. Concerned members should participate in structures instead of venturing into populist adventures that would have no impact.

The ANCYL will defend the ANC from uncultured behavior including those that may be tempted to destroy its property. We alert all those that will attempt to occupy Luthuli House that this will not happen. People can demonstrate but occupying Luthuli House will never happen. Don't Try This at Luthuli House.
