Luxury R2,3 million Merc for Ace Magashule’s daily use after all

Roads and Transport MEC, Butana Komphela, has come out to defend the purchase of the R2,3 million luxuryMercedes-Benz S600L (V222) for the daily use of Premier Ace Magashule. MEC Komphela allegedly oversaw and approved the transaction just in time to reward his political principal with a very flashy Christmas gift.

This comes after MEC Komphela’s own spokesperson, Hillary Mophethe, claimed that the luxury German sedan was to be used for the purpose of transporting foreign dignitaries.

The Free State Provincial Government under Ace Magashule continue to mislead the people of the province while plundering our limited resources for their personal use and to extend their patronage network.

Premier Magashule’s spokesperson, Tiisetso Makhele, reportedly dismissed Mahashule’s involvement saying that the premier was not responsible for the purchase of government vehicles.

This proves the perfect opportunity for Premier Magashule to show leadership.

If Premier Magashule has any care for the financial problems his ANC government has created, as well as for the wellbeing of the people of the Free State who continues to suffer under poverty and deprivation, he would reject the this luxury gift MEC Komphela so kindly undertook to purchase on his behalf.

A DA government will not waste taxpayer money on luxuries for the benefit of a few such as what Ace Magashule and his lackey MECs are notorious for.

A DA government will utilise all resources for the betterment of the lives of the people of the Free State. Next year’s election is an opportunity for the people of the province to reject poor governance and to vote in a government that prioritises people before premiers.
