SOUTH AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF RACE RELATIONS - "ON WHOSE BEHALF WHICH RACE AND WHICH IDEOLOGICAL CONTEXT"?
It is now becoming clear on each government election period that this institute has biasness towards a particular social class and more on particular race unfortunately they have chosen to speak for the Democratic Alliance and white minority, at the expense of the working class and the poor especially the majority of South Africans, something that proves, Karl Marx correct in his scientific analysis, when he said, "Dominant ideas in every society, are those of the ruling class".
Two statements only this Month, have made the SACP in the North West province to understands on which class and race they speak for, unfortunately, unnecessary attack on the African National Congress (ANC) or its government became an acceptable norm even without factual back up on the of the Institute.
Statement one - most of free basic services are in the city of Cape Town where the DA is governing, the institute fails to tell the public the hypocrisy of the DA on criticizing the ANC policies but implementing to the core for electoral chauvinism, because given opportunity the DA could scrap totally any policy that benefits the poor and the working class.
They kept mum when the during the same Month the office of the auditor General congratulated Tshwane metro for receiving a clear audit record over some time, understandable because the DA confirmed that they intend to contest taking over the Tshwane metro in the coming local government elections.
Statement two - South Africa fast becoming a welfarerist state, this they attribute to their research findings that social grants have increased by 300% over the past nine years.
The Institute deliberately, ignore facts that poverty has increased overtime and that has taken class, race and gender perspectives.
That the ANC government cares and that the social grant are a vital survival income for most of the poor communities and families.
That the ANC government has strengthened and is winning on stamping out corruption within social security net.
Which the two statements opposition parties especially the DA and Helen Zille must must be extremely happy, their research department called the South African Institute of race relations is delivering on its mandate.
