Speaker receives letter of resignation from Mr Malusi Gigaba

Parliament, Thursday 15 November 2018 – Speaker of the National Assembly Ms Baleka Mbete has received a letter from former Minister, Mr Malusi Gigaba, informing her that he is resigning as a Member of Parliament.

The Speaker had earlier referred the Report from the Public Protector and letter from President Cyril Ramaphosa to Parliament’s Joint Committee on Ethics and Members’ Interests for consideration and report (and to the Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs for information).
