ANC Caucus Statement on New Deployment

The ANC Parliamentary Caucus wishes to announce the deployments of the following comrades to various vacant positions:

1. Cde NomaIndia Mfeketo has been appointed the Chairperson of Caucus. The position was previously held by Comrade Nozizwe Madlala-Routledge, who is the current Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.

2. Cde Nyamezeli Booi is appointed as ANC Chief Whip. This position was left vacant by the appointment of Comrade Nathi Mthethwa to Cabinet.

3. Cde Bulelani Magwanishe has been appointed to the position of ANC Deputy Chief Whip, previously held by Comrade Andries Nel.

4. Cde Andries Nel takes over the position of House Chairperson, left vacant by the appointment of Geoff Doidge to Cabinet.

5. Cde Zweletu Madasa has been appointed to the position of the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on International Relations

6. Cde Cecil Burgess has been appointed to the position of the Chairperson of the Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence. The position was formerly held by Cde Siyabonga Cwele, who is now serving in Cabinet.

7. Cde Benjamin Ntuli takes over the position of the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Defence, previously held by Fezile Bhengu who is now in the Executive

8. Cde Jane Matsomela has been appointed to the position of the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration, left vacant by the appointment of its previous Chairperson, Richard Baloyi, to the Executive.

9. Cde Vincent Smith has been deployed to the position of the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Auditor General, previously held by Cde Barbara Hogan who is now in Cabinet.

10. Cde Mshiyeni Sogoni has been appointed to the position of the Chairperson of the Select Committee on Joint Budget in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP).

11. Cde Mbhazima Sibiya takes over the position of the Chairperson of Select Committee on Economic Cluster in the NCOP.

12. Cde Buti Mkhaliphi has been appointed to the position of the Chairperson of the Select Committee on Provincial & Local Government in the NCOP. The position was previously held by Cde Sicelo Shiceka, who is now serving in the Cabinet.

13. Cde Faith Mazibuko now becomes the Whip for the Gauteng Province and Chairperson of the Joint Standing Committee on Quality of Life and Status of Women in the NCOP.
