The ANC's pure lies and misleading statements - EFF

Fighters say Gwede Mantashe has himself admitted that Zuma is a liability to the party

ECONOMIC FREEDOM FIGHTERS' STATEMENT ON THE ANC'S PURE LIES AND MISLEADING STATEMENTS TO MISGUIDE SOUTH AFRICANS:

21 June 2013

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have seen the statement of the African National Congress titled "The insults on the person of President Zuma". The ANC statement was released in response to ANC Members Ronnie Kasrils and Kenny Kunene (see here) who publicly condemned the directionlessness, immorality, corruption, recklessness, and Guptarisation of the ANC under President Zuma.

As Economic Freedom Fighters, we would not care much about issues that involve internal criticism by ANC members of their leaders, but because the ANC statement misleads society, particularly the youth, we see the need to respond.

FIRSTLY, The ANC statement claims that "The ANC is not led by a single leader" and this is ludicrous because Jacob Zuma leads the ANC alone and decides on what it does, when, how, and where? The reality in the ANC is that "What Jacob Zuma Wants! Jacob Zuma Gets!". ANC Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa confirmed this when he publicly said that he was approached by Jacob Zuma (not branches) to become Deputy President of the ANC.

So the claim that members elect their leaders and that there is a collective is pure fallacy and misleading because both Jacob Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa have confirmed in public that they spoke about who should be in the Presidency of the ANC. We will deal with this issue in great detail with many examples in the future.

SECONDLY, the ANC says that "the notion of a paralysis in the ANC arising from this purported fear of Comrade President Zuma is an insult not only to the President but to the more than one million members and leaders of the ANC".  This again is not true, and the ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe has admitted in more than one occasion that President Zuma is not only a liability to the ANC, but instils lots of fear amongst comrades who challenge him on matters of principle. With time, we will expose the many instances, wherein fear was spoken to leaders of the ANC by President Zuma, and the only thing they could do was complain to the Youth League, which is no more.

Economic Freedom Fighters have previously expressed opinions and views on the Dictatorship, tyranny and intolerance that define South Africa under President Zuma. Such is reflected amongst other things by declaring the recent Nkandla report as a ‘top-secret'. Declaring vital information ‘top-secret' through Laws which have not been passed by the National Assembly is only done by Dictators and Monsters who do not want Kleptocracy to be exposed to the people of South Africa.

Dictators are wont of saying "people should leave us to govern, because a country cannot be governed by many people". Monsters send innocent soldiers to go die in wars that came as a result of "personalised relationships" as mentioned publicly by the Prime Minister of the Central African Republic (CAR).

THIRDLY, the ANC Statement says "the ANC, without any fear or favour, expressed itself on the landing of a helicopter at Waterkloof Air Base. Our government has also taken steps to correct the situation surrounding the breach that occurred there". Once again, this is not true and a deliberate attempt to trivialise the amount of power and influence the Gupta family has on Jacob Zuma and South African government.

The Guptas landed a huge private jet, and other private jets, helicopters and brought illegal cars on the Waterkloof Air Base, and no one has been held accountable, except Bruce koloane who correctly said that Number 1 (Mr Jacob Zuma) is the one who was behind the landing of the Guptas Private jet. To now reduce the whole unforgiveable act as a landing of a helicopter is misleading and pure fallacy.

The fact is that the ANC statement post the National Executive Committee that dealt with the Gupta influence took a different tone on the landing of the Gupta private jets and helicopters, and said society is wrongly infuriated because society does not know that Waterkloof Air Base is not a National Key Point. Attempts to trivialise these issues is therefore rejected with the contempt and disdain it deserve.

Economic Freedom Fighters carry the obligation to at all times, "tell the truth, and claim no easy victories" and will NEVER wait too long to expose lies and easy victories whenever and wherever they are told. When the EFF website launches next week, it will be the primary source of truths and facts about South Africa's political developments. No amount of secrecy and intimidation will stop us from telling the truth, because the people of South Africa deserve to know. The question we are asking again is WHAT IS TO BE DONE?
