ANC GAUTENG WELCOMES TSHWANE MAYORAL CANDIDATE

The ANC Gauteng province welcomes the newly announced Tshwane mayoral candidate, Comrade Thoko Didiza. This announcement follows the decision taken by the national, provincial and regional structures.

The ANC in Gauteng commends the current incumbent and the regional leadership for their unreserved support of Comrade Thoko Didiza’s selection as the ANC’s Mayoral candidate.

We want to take this opportunity to condemn in the strongest terms a minority that used violence to undermine a process designed to find an amicable solution in this regard, this conduct undermined what the ANC stands for in terms of using democratic and consultative processes to resolve issues and disputes.

We call on the police to investigate and apprehend anybody who has endangered the lives of others through the use of violence and intimidation.

The ANC remains the champion of peaceful processes and upholding of our laws.
