Violence: Desperate times call for desperate measures

3 September 2019

The violence currently playing out in Gauteng and elsewhere in the country proves that the ANC government has failed and is no longer able to govern.

The great immigration of people from other provinces and elsewhere in Africa to Gauteng, endemic corruption and inadequate economic growth have turned the province into a breeding ground for crime and anarchy.

The police's lack in crime intelligence skills makes it nearly impossible to thwart well-organised violent actions. The executive authority of the Gauteng government must take responsibility for the police's apparent inability to protect the people of the province.

The time has come for the ANC government to do away with its infeasible policy directions and to start acting in the best interest of the country.
