We respect ANC disciplinary processes - ANCYL

League will only speak publicly about proceedings once they have been concluded

ANC YOUTH LEAGUE STATEMENT ON THE VERDICT OF THE ANC DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE

The ANC Youth League leadership will on Thursday, the 10th of November 2011 attend the disciplinary committee meeting to receive the verdict of the disciplinary process that was instituted against the top five officials and Spokesperson of the 24th ANC YL Congress National Executive Committee. This excludes ANC YL President Julius Malema who will be writing examinations in the Polokwane campus of the University Of South Africa (UNISA) on the same date, Thursday the 10th of November 2011.

The ANC YL places it on record that we subject ourselves to the discipline and guidance of the ANC. Consistent with what we said at the beginning of the disciplinary hearing in August 2011, the ANC Youth League will not make media statements and comments about an ongoing disciplinary hearing. The leadership of the ANC YL will only speak publicly about the disciplinary proceedings and outcomes after every little detail of the DC has been concluded.

The ANC Youth League therefore sends a sincere request to all members of the media to halt all forms of media enquiries about the ongoing disciplinary proceedings until it has been concluded. Please do not call us about the DC, we will call you.
