DA welcomes NFP Edumbe’s endorsement of the DA

2 August 2016

The DA welcomes the NFP Edumbe’s endorsement and support of the Democratic Alliance in these upcoming local government elections. As momentum builds behind the DA campaign, growing support from millions of South Africans encourages us toward Election Day.

NFP Councillor Sbusiso Mmhabela, the NFP Edumbe Constituency Chair and Deputy Mayor, has given the DA a resounding endorsement, and he has encouraged the NFP members in the area to join us as we march to Election Day.

We understand how difficult it must be for NFP councillors, unable to fight these elections as a contesting party. But this endorsement is taken very seriously, and we will work hard to win Edumbe, as the NFP has done with an outright majority, and to bring about the CHANGE that DA governments bring with them.

Throughout this campaign, we have spread our message of hope: DA governments will bring about change that stops corruption, creates jobs and deliver better services. By doing this, we can realise Madiba’s dream and move our great country forward again.

We will be committed to bringing this change to Edumbe too and to work hard to fight unemployment and poverty – the single biggest problem in the region.
