ANC hypocritical on freedom of speech - FF+

Anton Alberts says party wants to restrict media, but remain free to sing ‘Shoot the Boer'

KILL THE BOER" SONG SHOWS THE ROTTENNESS OF THE ANC

"It is ironic that the ANC wants to restrict the media but uses freedom of speech to justify their dangerous inciting hate speech. The fact that the ANC has applied for leave to appeal against the restriction on the singing of the song in which the words "dubul' iBhunu" (Shoot the Boer) is used, creates the impression that the ANC supports this song's cruel message. Through this action the governing party promotes racial tensions and racial hatred," Adv. Anton Alberts, the FF Plus' parliamentary spokesperson on Communication said.

"The ANC's inability to change from a so-called freedom movement to that of a modern political party is clearly visible from the fact that the ANC is alleging that the song is part of the ANC's struggle for freedom. The ANC should rather give attention to morally transform from an organization which internalizes reasonableness and enforces it rather than expecting society to transform on a racial basis. It is clear that the ANC is trapped in the past and that they do not understand the sensitivities of South Africa ," Alberts added.

The Freedom Front Plus will closely monitor the application of the ANC and is considering various strategies to oppose the actions of the ANC.
