Limpopo DoE disturbed by leaks to media

Dept says it hopes that drastic action will be taken against individuals responsible (July 9)

The Limpopo Department of Education disturbed by ‘leaked' reports to the media

9 Jul 2012

The Limpopo Department of Education is once again appalled by several articles in the weekend and weekly newspapers quoting ‘leaked' reports from credible Investigating Agencies i.e. Gobodo Forensic, Deloitte & Touche and Special Investigating Unit (see report).

The department holds these agencies in high esteem and that these agencies would not compromise their integrity in the society by ‘leaking' confidential reports to the media. We believe that, if it is true that these reports have been leaked from their side, they will take drastic steps against individuals who continue to tarnish their credibility.

We appreciate the conduct of these agencies in the other four departments under administration, where they are doing work and their reports are not leaked to the media.

As the department, we would like to put it on record that, we have not received any official reports from either one of the agencies which are doing work in the department. The department commits itself that at the point when they receive the official reports, it will act according to their recommendations without failure.

Working together we can do more in providing quality education.
