“21-year papgeld rip-off!” – Daily Sun

“While Lerato was partying, Fosi learnt the shocking truth!” – front page lead, May 20 2015

Daily Sun (May 20 2015) - FOSI says he paid papgeld faithfully for 21 years.

But then he got the shock of his life!

A DNA TEST PROVED THE ‘LOVE CHILD’ WASN’T HIS DAUGHTER!

Fosi Tsie (43) of Kagisanong in Mangaung said he believed he was the father of Lerato Kgasane (21) until the Macufe festival last October.

Fosi said the drama began when Lerato’s worried mum Seja Kgasane (43), asked him to help contact Lerato as she wasn’t answering her phone.

Fosi said he was relieved when he got through to her – but not for long!

“The girl, who sounded as if she was enjoying herself at a party, became rude on the phone.

“She told me to stop interfering as I was not her father!” said Fosi.

He said his wife, Lindiwe Tsie (34), told him to take what Lerato had said seriously. “So I had a paternity test.”

Fosi learned the shocking truth when a DNA test found that he wasn’t Lerato’s father.

“What makes me even angrier is that the girl I thought was my daughter knew I was not her father,” said Fosi.

Now he wants Seja to pay back the money.

He said: “Seja and I started a relationship in 1990. Four years later she gave birth to a girl, and said the child was mine.

“I supported the child, but we decided to end the relationship. I got married to another woman.

“I didn’t stop paying papgeld. I have paid R69 600.

“I have never been so hurt in my life.

The People’s Paper is in possession of the test report.

Lerato said: “No one told me about Fosi not being my father, but my mother and Fosi used to have fights.

“That made me suspect he might not be my real father. He decided that we should go for tests.

“We went for the tests, but I have not seen the results.

“Yes, he has been paying for my support, but he is not my father – just somebody I know.

“I don’t know his warmth,” said Lerato.

Seja said: “He is the one who broke my virginity.”

She said she thought the paternity test results were wrong.
