Investigation clears ANC of bribery claims - ANC WCape

Songezo Mjongile says DA's so-called dossier was a fraudulent cut and paste job

ANC slates DA's waste of taxpayer money

The Western Cape ANC has been vindicated by the investigation which found nothing wrong into averred bribery or buying of other councillors.

The DA complained after it lost two ward councillors in the West Coast's Cederberg municipality claiming conspiracy theories to topple the DA.

"The DA's machinations and constructed arguments were exposed as false allegations without substance.

"The DA employed tactics of deflection and lies to cover up its internal problems of rising dissident.

"We knew all along that the DA's so-called ‘dossier' was a fraudulent cut-and-paste job fabricated to vilify the ANC, but now the DA Western Cape leader Theuns Botha has egg on his face for his ‘corruption' claims!

"The ANC condemns the DA's abuse of State resources for narrow party political and ulterior motives, instead of letting it fight serious crime. This is the umpteenth DA attempt to smear the ANC that was found to be baseless or without a prospect of successful prosecution," says the ANC.
