Shilowa faction conference interdicted - Deidre Carter

Acting SG says COPE will take no responsibility for costs incurred by this group

R e: SO CALLED CONSULTATIVE CONFERENCE CONVENED BY THE SHILOWA FACTION, SUCCESFULLY INTERDICTED

The National Office Bearers of the Congress of the People (COPE) in the last 2 days successfully obtained 2 urgent interdicts in the Eastern Cape and Free State respectively.

An urgent interdict against the so called ‘Consultative Conference' called by the Shilowa faction was successfully obtained.

The Congress of the People will take no responsibility for any costs incurred by this group who unlawfully used the name of the Congress of the People.

The Congress of the People want to re-iterate that it is only the National Office Bearers and the Congress National Committee that can call a Conference, Congress, Meeting or Gathering. Such a resolution taken will be signed by the President of COPE, Mosiuoa Lekota and the Acting General Secretary, Deidre Carter.
