The ANC in Gauteng puts Zuma first – John Moodey

Ruling party in the province stand in opposition to Constitution and rule of law, says DA

The ANC in Gauteng puts Zuma first and South Africa last

13 April 2016

The decision by the Gauteng ANC Veteran’s League, Gauteng ANC Youth League, Gauteng ANC MKVA and Gauteng ANC Women’s League to back Jacob Zuma proves once and for all that the ANC in Gauteng does in fact stand in opposition to the Constitution and the rule of law.

If those opposed to Jacob Zuma and his corruption were really committed to the Constitution, they would resign from the ANC that allowed this corruption to take place and join the DA so that we can move Gauteng, and South Africa forward again.

But the truth is that they won’t leave their cosy offices. Because they like the ANC in the rest of country continue to put Jacob Zuma and his corruption first, and the people of South Africa and the Constitution last.

This is not surprising. The ANC in the province did nothing at all to stop its Members of Parliament from Gauteng from voting against the DA’s motion to impeach Jacob Zuma.

It has also been silent since the Nkandla scandal broke more than 5 years ago and did nothing at all to help bring Jacob Zuma to justice for this conduct, which the Constitutional Court found violated the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.

We call on all residents of Gauteng, from Johannesburg to Tshwane, to reject the ANC’s contempt for our precious Constitution that so many fought and died for, and vote DA for CHANGE that will move South Africa moving forward again.

This is CHANGE that will create jobs, delivery better services, and stop corruption. And unlike the ANC in Gauteng we will do this every single day that we are in office.
