Union to express its fury against academics' support for illegal clothing operators

SACTWU TO PROTEST AT UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN (UCT)

SACTWU will be protesting at UCT to express our fury against the UCT-based Centre for Social Science Research (CSSR) for supporting illegal clothing operators and promoting poverty wages for clothing workers in the domestic clothing industry. A memorandum will be handed over and copies there-of will be available to the media, at the protest action at UCT.

The details of this protest action are as follows:

Date:   1 March 2012

Time:   13h00-14h00

Venue:   UCT (start on Middle campus, below Africa House, and then proceed to Bremner Building for handing over of the memorandum)
