COMRADE JOHN BLOCK IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY - ANC

The African National Congress (ANC) is shocked by the arrest on allegations of corruption of ANC Northern Cape Chairperson, comrade John Block (see report).

As a law-abiding organisation, the ANC is of the view that the law should take its course. We believe that comrade John who also serves as a provincial MEC in the Northern Cape, is innocent until proven guilty.

For now, we would not like to speculate on the matter, currently being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
