ILL-INFORMED COPE ATTACK ON ADV. JIBA’S INTEGRITY

The Higher Education Transformation Network (HETN) hereby strongly condemns the ill-informed attack perpetrated by Dennis Bloem of the Congress of the People (COPE) on the integrity of Advocate Nomgcobo Jiba. The ill-informed rantings for the suspension of Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP), Adv. Jiba should not only be rejected based on ill-information but must also be frowned upon due to the clear naivety and Machiavellian intentions behind such calls.

Contrary to popular dogma propagated by the DA and COPE as well as the racist General Council of the Bar (GCB), Adv. Jiba must be commended for her firm resolute defence of the rule of law and integrity of the SA prosecutions machinery.

On the contrary, it is former NDPP Mxolisi Nxasana who deserves to be criminally charged for multiple alleged crimes including defeating the ends of justice, wreaking institutional havoc and subjecting the state’s crime investigations and prosecutions machinery to potential external control by hostile interests and forces. The erudite Bloem neglects to observe the rules of natural justice including the fact that Adv. Jiba is innocent until proven guilty by a duly constituted court of law.

We believe that the merits of the cases involving Mr Nxasana need to be subjected for consideration by a court of law and that Mxolisi Nxasana and his ally, Democratic Alliance MP, Glynnis Breytenbach should have their day in court on allegations of corruption and defeating the ends of justice and of amongst others:-

1. Allegedly blocking NPA further investigations and prosecutions as well as the appealing of the court order on the alleged criminal conduct by Lt-General Johan Booysen, KZN Hawks Head for his alleged involvement in the Cato Manor police death squads.

2. Apparently blocking NPA prosecution of illegal cross border renditions and murderous activities allegedly perpetrated by Hawks officials.

3. Ostensibly blocking NPA investigations and prosecutions, illegally seizing and thereafter “loosing” critical state-held evidence against the disgraced Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach.

4. Allegedly commandeering and thereafter allegedly “loosing” critical state evidence files against Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach’s alleged corruption and fraudulent activities in a mysterious unknown burglary relating to amongst others :-

- Files containing evidence and witness statements in the corruption case involving Mr David Tselapedi involving Allcare/Hosmed. Mr Tselapedi has not been incarcerated despite convictions due to Adv Glynnis Breytenbach’s indirect interventions.

- Corruption and Fraud investigations involving Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach in a R1 million loan arranged for payment alleged by Mr Michael Tannenbaum to influence National Prosecutions Authority (NPA) prosecutions.

- Corruption case against Nathan Kirsh - Documents relating to receipt of loan of $1 million and other amounts including documents about gratifications received by Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach from Nathan Kirsch to influence prosecutions in criminal cases including various corruptive contracts entered into by Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach with Nathan Kirsh.

- Involvement of Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach in an attempt to stop the corruption cases against the SA construction companies who colluded to defraud the state during World Cup 2010 infrastructure buildings

- Investigations into The Nam-Ford Deeds office corruption matter

- Investigation into complaints by Charles Stride against Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach and Nathan Kirsh

- Other files containing police crime intelligence evidence against Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach

The Network will not rest until the collaboration, partnership and network between Mxolisi Nxasana, Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach and the General Council of the Bar (GCB) has been exposed. This partnership of evil was largely informed by the common cause of seeking to destroy the careers and by extension the lives of all those who were courageous enough to take on and prosecute the disgraced Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach and her band of rich corruptive friends.

If Bloem and his COPE coterie of Parliamentary minstrels were a political party worth its salt, then they could not afford to ignore the above-mentioned compelling facts exposing the conspiracy to tarnish Advocates Jiba, Mzinyathi and Mwrebi’s names and integrity.

It is clear that COPE is either extremely mal-informed of the true facts or is being funded and manipulated by evil corruptive financial interests.
