Phumzile van Damme and Marius Redelinghuys our new national spokespeople - DA

James Selfe says appointment of two MPs deemed necessary in light of the growth of the party

DA appoints National Spokespeople

30 May 2014

The DA's Federal Executive met this morning and approved the appointment of Phumzile van Damme MP and Marius Redelinghuys MP as the National Spokespeople of the DA.

Phumzile van Damme MP previously worked in various roles both in the Western Cape government and Parliament, including most recently her role as the Head of Parliamentary Research and Communications for the DA. Marius Redelinghuys MP also brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this position. He was previously engaged as the Director of Communications and Research for the DA in the Gauteng legislature.

The appointment of two spokespeople was deemed necessary in light of the growth of the DA in the 7 May general elections and the increased need to reach a broader spectrum of South African society.

The DA has every faith these two highly capable and experienced individuals.
