SADTU rattled by 'Jobs for Cash' report – Gavin Davis

DA says union trying to divert attention for core issue by playing the race card

DA condemns SADTU's attempt to racialise 'Jobs for Cash' report

The DA condemns SADTU's latest attempt to rubbish the 'Jobs for Cash' report by playing the race card.

It is quite obvious that SADTU is rattled by the 'Jobs for Cash' report, which explains SADTU's desperate attempt to cast doubt on the report's credibility.

What is unclear is why SADTU has taken aim at the Democratic Alliance, as the 'Jobs for Cash' report was commissioned by Minister Angie Motshekga.

SADTU's racialised attack on the DA can only be interpreted as an attempt to divert attention from the core issue. The core issue is the future of our children's education in a system that has been captured by SADTU bosses for their own ends.

Corruption is not a racial issue and we condemn SADTU's attempt to make it one. South Africans of all races and all backgrounds are united in the fight against corruption.

We will not be thrown off course by SADTU's attempt to intimidate us. We will keep pushing until those SADTU members found guilty of bribery face the full force of the law, and our education system is protected from SADTU's toxic influence.
