Candidate for DA Federal Leader Mmusi Maimane has received three more endorsements from DA Provincial Leaders.

They are: Patricia Kopane (Free State), Athol Trollip (Eastern Cape) and Jacques Smalle (Limpopo).

This follows Patricia de Lille’s public endorsement of Maimane's candidacy on Monday, and a letter of support sent to Maimane from 144 Gauteng delegates yesterday.

Patricia Kopane, the DA’s Provincial Leader in the Free State said: “I am endorsing Mmusi Maimanefor Federal Leader because I believe that he can win new votes for the DA. Under Mmusi, the DA will be bigger and stronger than ever before.”

Athol Trollip, the DA’s Leader in the Eastern Cape said: “Mmusi has been at the forefront of our endeavours to win strategic constituencies, and to win Johannesburg and Gauteng. I am of the firm belief that he not only embodies non-racialism, he personifies it in word and deed.”

Jacques Smalle, the DA’s Leader in Limpopo said: “Mmusi’s management style is accessible and he is a very hands-on leader. He has all the traits you need in a person at the helm of a party that seeks to expand into unchartered territories of the South African political spectrum.”

The momentum is definitely behind Mmusi Maimane to become the next Leader of the DA. Delegates from all over the country are expressing their support for Maimane and the watershed moment his election will represent.
